About the Speakers




Reema Sanghavi is the founder of Maximus MICE & Media Solutions, a decade-old global, award-winning brand with a network of over 500 corporate clients spread across every continent and a repertoire of over 1000 events.

As one of the key step towards women empowerment, she co-founded Pinkathon, which is now Asia’s Largest Run for Women featuring over 1 Lakh women runners every year. She is also a director with the International Speaker Management agency, Speaking Minds, that is determined to redefine the B2B marketing scenario in India.

Reema has also been elected as the Vice President - West for Event and Experiential Marketing Association (EEMA), the leading platform for information, education, networking, and commercial opportunities, as well as the leading voice in government and the community for firms within the event industry in the West region.

Over the years, Reema has been conferred with several awards including MICE Future Leader of the Year Award, Femina Women Leadership Award and many more for my contributions to the business and industry.

She has always strived to raise the bar higher with each step, leaving a distinct trail of impactful experiences that have contributed significantly to the world of experiential marketing!


Dr Cathy Foley is Chief Scientist of CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency and innovation catalyst. CSIRO solves the greatest challenges through innovative science and technology.

It is one of the world’s largest mission-driven multidisciplinary science and research organisations, collaborating with industry, government, academia and the community to unlock a better future for everyone.

Dr Foley has made significant contributions to the understanding of superconducting materials and to the development of devices using superconductors to detect magnetic fields and locate valuable deposits of minerals.

She was awarded Agenda Setter of the Year in the Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards in 2019, the Australian Institute of Physics Medal for Outstanding Service to Physics in 2016, and the Clunies Ross Medal of the Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering in 2015. In 2014, she was awarded the International IEEE Award for Continuing and Significant Contributions to Applied Superconductivity, and in 2013 she was named `Woman of the Year’ by the NSW Government.

Dr Foley has a passion for advancing scientific research and has held various roles, including member of the Prime Minister’s Science, Engineering and Innovation Council, President of the National Executive for Australian Institute of Physics, President of Science and Technology Australia, Editor-in-Chief of Superconductor Science and Technology journal, and Council Member for Questacon.

Dr Foley is a strong advocate for women in STEM and is committed to tackling gender equality. As a leader in CSIRO, she is working to enhance collaboration across the sector and turn more world-class research into benefits for the nation.


Katrina has been Director & CEO of ACMI (the Australian Centre for the Moving Image) since 2015, where she is leading a vision for a $40m transformation for the museum, due to reopen mid-2020. She has a particular interest in supporting cross-disciplinary practice, and has an extensive background as a commissioner, creative producer, and festival director.

From 2012 – 14 she was Head of Arts for the national broadcaster ABC TV, and between 2002 – 11 she was the founding Director/CEO of Adelaide Film Festival, and its $1m Investment Fund, supporting a multi award winning slate of films and installation works.


Rob Gellis a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and an Inaugural Fellow of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand. He is a coastal geomorphologist by training; he taught Environmental Science and Physical Geography at tertiary level, then for thirty one years presented television weather. In his professional life he works as an environmental and communications consultant and is a Director of World Wind Pty Ltd. He is a published author and a photographer. He is the Chairman of the Mornington Peninsula and Westernport Biosphere Reserve Foundation Ltd. Chairman of Wildlife Victoria and a member of the Victorian Coastal Council. Rob Gell is an outstanding communicator who has earned the respect of government, business, and environmental groups for his approach to sustainable development.
