Join AmCham in the Celebration of the 4th of July and 100 Years of Mateship
The ideal event to network and develop new business relationships!
On the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Hamel, we commemorate the offensive lead by Australian General Sir John Monash to retake Hamel France. It was the earliest instance of American and Australian troops fighting side by side and the 4th of July was selected as the offensive date in honor of the Americans joining the Allies. Since that day Australian and American soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen and women have served alongside one another in every major conflict.
Featuring special remarks by
Major General Fergus McLachlan AM,
Commander Forces Command, Australian Army
