Cancer Moonshot Seminar

Australia / U.S. Cancer Research Collaboration

Collaboration, partnership and knowledge exchange are essential to today’s innovation economy. The American Chamber of Commerce in Australia’s Innovation Committee would like to invite you to learn more about the Cancer Moonshot announced by former Vice President Joe Biden on his last visit to Australia.

The Cancer Moonshot initiative aims to accelerate cancer research, make more therapies available to more patients, and improve our ability to prevent cancer and detect it at an early stage. Since then, the U.S. has signed three agreements with Australia to advance cooperation with Australia on cancer research, to achieve these goals.

Following a presentation from the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI), experts will discuss:
- the rapid developments in oncology research and clinical practice;
- best-practice collaborations between Australia and the U.S; and
- opportunities to enhance research efficiency, commercialisation, and importantly clinical outcomes for patients by leveraging this relationship.

About the AmCham Innovation Committee

AmCham’s Innovation Committee represents a broad spectrum of the business community of both U.S. and Australia based companies. The committee aims to help foster the development of a vibrant, sustainable ecosystem that promotes innovation and delivers best practice through advocacy and education.
