Barry Trubridge
Partner and Financial Services Leader - PwC Australia
Barry is a Partner with PwC and PwC Australia’s Financial Services Leader. Barry has over 25 years’ experience in the financial sector, leading large scale, customer-led transformation programs across digital, mobile, telephony and branch networks. Prior to joining PwC, Barry held executive positions in transformation and strategy in top-tier banks in the UK and Australia.
Barry has deep expertise across financial services strategy, digital banking, multi-channel implementation, customer-centric transformation, and delivery of sustainable change.
Barry is a graduate of the AICD, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Arts.

Stephen Halmarick
Chief Economist and Head of Global Economic & Market Research - Commonwealth Bank of Australia
Stephen has over 35 years’ experience as a financial markets economist and is widely regarded as one of the best economic communicators and presenters in Australia. Prior to his role in CBA, Stephen was Chief Economist for Colonial First State Global Asset Management from March 2009 to September 2017. Earlier in his career, Stephen worked for Westpac, SBC Australia, the Nomura Research Institute and from 1994-2009 the Salomon Smith Barney Citibank group, where he held the title of Managing Director and Co-Head of Economic and Market Analysis. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, a graduate diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Stephen was Chairman of the Australian Business Economists (ABE) – the peak professional body for financial market economists in Australia from 2008-2017 and he was on the ABE Executive Committee for over 20 years. He is a Life Member of the ABE. In March 2016 Stephen was elected as a Member Director on the Commonwealth Bank Group Staff Superannuation Fund Board. He was re-elected to this position in November 2019. Stephen lives in Sydney with his wife – and their ‘blended’ family of six children.
David Neal
Chief Executive Officer - IFM Investors
David is IFM Investors' Chief Executive, responsible for executing the firm's strategy and delivering strong
results for IFM Investors' clients, shareholders and staff. David leads IFM's global business, with nine offices and four investment teams: Infrastructure, Debt Investments, Listed Equities and Private Equity.
David joined IFM Investors from the Future Fund, Australia's sovereign wealth fund, which he joined in 2007
as its inaugural Chief Investment Officer before becoming the Chief Executive Officer in 2014. At the Future
Fund, he established the investment team and built and designed the Fund's investment model.
Prior to joining the Future Fund, David spent 15 years with Willis Towers Watson, where he started his career in the UK. He went on to establish and lead the firm's investment consulting business in Australia. As Head of Investment Consulting at Willis Towers Watson Australia, David led the team providing advisory services to the Future Fund when it was established in 2006.
Deanne Stewart
Chief Executive Officer - Aware Super
Deanne joined Aware Super as Chief Executive Officer in 2018 and has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, both in Australia and overseas. She is an expert in super, wealth and insurance. Before leading Aware Super, Deanne was Chief Executive Officer at MetLife. Prior to this, she held senior roles at BT, Westpac, Merrill Lynch and McKinsey & Co.
During her time as CEO, Deanne has overseen some pivotal moments and significant growth, with Aware Super now one of Australia's largest, top-performing pension funds. She led the successful merger of VicSuper and First State Super in 2020 and the launch of the new brand Aware Super. Throughout her time at Aware, Deanne has been a strong advocate for gender equality. She was honoured by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency as a pay equity ambassador in 2019.
Deanne also serves as a Director of the Super Members Council, the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors and non-profit organisation Redkite. A hallmark of Deanne’s career has been a passionate commitment to building and maintaining a strong culture and clearly defined purpose to drive business success.
