Gajan Ananthapavan, Technology Area Lead - Security Operations, Intel & Influence, Security Domain (Technology), ANZ
Over the past 22 years, he has held senior positions at ANZ, PwC, USB Investment Bank and Goldman Sachs, disrupting businesses through the introduction of innovative services and capabilities that drive transformative change.
During his time at ANZ Gajan has headed Cyber Security Operations focused on strengthening ANZ’s front line for security across the bank through improved monitoring, detection and response. This included establishing ANZ’s Cloud security operations team and a threat intelligence and incident response capability to help proactively protect the bank.
As current head of Security Operations, Intel & Influence, Gajan is responsible for embedding the enterprise security strategy across the organization, accelerating security priorities to mitigate key risks, driving adoption of strategic products and services, and working with government and regulators to ensure business compliance.
Gajan graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Computing in 1997 and a Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance in 2000.
When he gets spare time, Gajan enjoys keeping fit, following Hawthorn Footy Club and spending time with his wife and three sons.
Mike Trovato, Managing Director, Information Integrity Solutions
Mike is Managing Director, Information Integrity Solutions and Global Practice Leader Cyber Security, Internal Consulting Group (ICG),.
He is an AISA Board Director, an ISACA Melbourne Chapter Board Director, and a Member of the National Standing Committee on Digital Trade.
Previously roles include FSO Practice Lead Partner, EY Cyber Security Asia Pacific, Oceania; GM Technology Risk and Security, NAB Group,; and Northeast US Partner Information Risk Management, KPMG.
Dr Campbell Wilson, Assoc Dean International, Faculty of IT, Monash University
Dr Campbell Wilson is co-director of the AiLECS (AI for Law Enforcement and Community Safety) research laboratory, a joint initiative of Monash University and the Australian Federal Police. His expertise encompasses machine learning, information retrieval and digital forensics. His current research focuses on the application of AI in addressing serious societal issues such as online child exploitation. He also explores the ethical implications of AI technologies in law enforcement applications, their explainability in policing and judicial contexts and sensitive data management platforms.
Faith Page, Partner, Information and Technology Risk Advisory, BDO
Faith is a risk management professional with a deep specialisation in technology, information and cyber risk particularly in the banking sector. She works with organisations in both the private and public sectors to effectively govern their information and technology investment, manage the associated operational and technology risk profile, and optimise outcomes.
Faith is a passionate people leader and takes pride in working collaboratively within a team to solve problems and improve business performance.
Faith has recently joined BDO to lead the Information and Technology Risk and Assurance practice in Melbourne. Most recently, Faith had a senior role in local government for 3 years where she had responsibility for driving improvement across a broad spectrum of core business and service areas. Prior to this, she had around 30 years in advisory services working with organisations in a range of industry sectors, including as a partner at a “Big 4” professional Services firm for over 16 years during which time she led the firm’s technology relationship with a major Australian Bank. In this role she was responsible for leading a team providing ongoing, as well as point in time, information and cyber risk engagements, including periodic assessments and health checks over the bank’s business and technology transformation projects including the development and implementation of a new credit risk engine as well as the phased implementation of its core banking system replacement.
