Trent Daniel - Chief Customer Officer, Azupay
Trent Daniel brings over a 20 years of experience in fintech, transaction banking and telco to his role as Azupay's Chief Customer Officer. Having held leadership roles at prominent organisations such as ANZ, Macquarie Group, Westpac, NAB, and Optus, Trent has a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering customer-focused solutions. His expertise in fostering strong client relationships and navigating complex payment ecosystems ensures Azupay continues to lead the way in real-time, account-to-account payment solutions.

Kathleen Harker - Associate Director, Strategic Sales & Platforms, ANZ
Awarded Australia’s 2023 Emerging Leader for Women in Payments, Kathleen is an Associate Director in ANZ’s Strategic Growth team within Transaction Banking. Her key responsibilities including shaping and delivering on ANZ’s real-time payments strategy in Australia across the Corporate & Institutional space and scaling-up new payment offerings across the broader bank. Working with clients that span from Financial Institutions and PSPs to government, multinationals and smaller corporates, Kathleen is routinely focused on bridging the gap between technology and business by supporting clients to embrace digitisation and automation and to use payments as the foundation for new and better customer experiences.

Piers Gorman - Managing Director, TreviPay
Piers serves as Managing Director of APAC with responsibility for building TreviPay’s business in the region. Prior to his role with TreviPay, Piers was Vice President Business Development Africa for World Fuel Services with responsibility for identifying and enabling opportunities for all World Fuel business lines in Africa with a particularly focus on M&A, military, United Nations and mining sectors. Prior experience included a spell as Managing Director of Ultra Dascam, a defense consulting business. As one of the founders of Dascam, he led them through their acquisition by Ultra Electronics, a UK-listed defense manufacturer. Piers’ initial experience was as an officer in the Light Infantry, an infantry regiment in the British Army. He served in the UK, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo and Sierra Leone. Piers received his education at Durham University and the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. He is a family man, adjusting to life in Australia and trying to play as much golf as possible.

Natalie Thompson - Product Development Manager, Beyond Bank
Natalie has been in banking for almost 20 years, holding senior roles in Payments, Project Delivery, and currently Product Development. Natalie has been instrumental in driving digital payments initiatives at Beyond Bank, including Osko, PayTo, and digital wallet innovation, working in partnership with payments providers to create robust digital capabilities. Throughout her career Natalie has leveraged her extensive experience in payments, supplier and relationship management, and her passion for fostering change within the banking industry, to deliver products and services that align with strategic business goals. Her work to date, has been pivotal in propelling Beyond Bank towards its goal of becoming the best relationship bank in Australia and delivering financial wellbeing to its customers and communities.
Darren Ball - Partner, Enterprise & National Leader, Mutual Banks, KPMG
As KPMG’s National Leader for Mutual Banks in Australia, Darren’s focus is on enabling KPMG to play a meaningful role in supporting the mutuals sector. A senior audit partner, and lead partner for Financial Services in Adelaide, Darren has a deep understanding of the sector, what it stands for, the relationship it has with its members and the pivotal role it plays in the national financial services landscape. Using his comprehensive network within the firm and detailed knowledge of the regulatory, operational, and strategic challenges the sector faces, Darren brings insights to his clients within the banking, wealth management and insurance industry. Through understanding his client’s strategy, Darren quickly becomes a valued strategic partner, going beyond the technical to bring a commercially based service. For more than 30 years, Darren has worked with a broad range of clients, including several of Australia’s leading mutuals. He specialises in external audit and advisory services for customer-owned financial services clients and has extensive experience in auditing member-based incorporated associations. In 1993, Darren joined KPMG as a graduate, and became Partner in 2008.
