The Honourable Dominic Perrottet
The American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham) is delighted to announce the appointment of the Honourable Dominic Perrottet to its Board of Directors.
Mr Perrottet is Vice President, International Affairs and US at BHP, where he leads the company’s engagement with the US Government and key external stakeholders.
Prior to this, Mr Perrottet served as the New South Wales Premier from 2021 to 2023 having previously worked as the NSW Treasurer and Minister for Finance, Services and Property, spanning a decade in the NSW Government. Mr Perrottet implemented reforms to the state’s tax systems, privatising public assets to fund major infrastructure projects and led efforts to reopen NSW following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Perrottet was a former Solicitor at Henry Davis York before entering NSW Parliament.
Mr Perrottet brings substantial leadership in the resources sector, an essential industry to the US-Australia economic relationship, and his appointment reinforces AmCham’s strategy of engagement with directors who represent the critical elements of Australia’s partnership with the United States.
"Dominic Perrottet adds outstanding leadership experience and a proven capability in navigating the complexities of US-Australia engagement,” said AmCham Chairman David Moffatt. “His deep understanding of the industrial and governmental ecosystems of both nations are invaluable."
“At a critical moment for pace and progress in the resources sector, the US-Australia relationship has never been more important,” Mr Perrottet said. “AmCham is an incredibly effective vehicle for enabling collaboration between government and industry at all levels of that relationship, and I look forward to contributing to their work in this important space.”
