About the Event

Cracking the Code highlights the role that bold, transformative ideas, inclusive technologies, and accessible education can play in
combatting discrimination and the marginalisation of women globally.

Innovation is a driver of change and by embracing new technologies and championing the unique skills and knowledge of women in science, technology, mathematics, and engineering (STEM),
we can accelerate our progress towards a gender equal future. While innovation has the power to transform lives, we know that there are still many barriers to equality.

Access to inclusive digital technologies and education is critical. We must innovate to close the digital divide that keeps so many women offline and away from new opportunities.
By ensuring equal access to education for women and girls and creating clear pathways and inclusive workplaces for women in STEM, we can leverage the transformative power of inclusive innovation, so critical to
cracking the code to gender equality.

On this International Women's Day, get ready to meet four amazing women.

When Esther Oh’s son lost his eyesight and doctors said there was no cure, this young entrepreneur created XRAI Vision; a perfect blend of Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence.

The Founder of Agili8, whose innovative work helps keep frontline healthcare workers safe, was honoured as the Winner of the 2022 AmCham Alliance Award for Artificial Intelligence.

At age 21, Kate Morris had a big dream: create an online beauty bazaar so women everywhere could look like super models. But she had no collateral. The banks baulked.
Fast forward and the dot-com Morris launched from her garage has become the e-commerce colossus Adore Beauty.

American Ursula Lepporoli came to Australia as a student, but the most important thing she learned wasn’t in a textbook. “My super power is being myself.” Now the KPMG tax whiz
helps other women unlock their financial potential.

Roxie Bennett made a fortune. Then, lost a fortune. Now, she is back on top with a wealth of wisdom. These days, the media personality, author, PR exec and creator of the
Butterfly Plan helps other women find the super star inside.

Join us for this inspirational lunch event, as AmCham celebrates International Women’s Day on Wednesday, 8 March 2023, at the Showtime Events Centre, South Wharf.
