Geraldine, President Australia, leads BHP’s Australia operations comprising world-class Nickel, Copper, Iron Ore, Metallurgical and Energy Coal operations in Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales.
 
Prior to joining our Australian business, as President Petroleum, Geraldine led BHP’s global oil and gas business headquartered in the US with assets across the Americas, Caribbean, Australia and North Africa.  
 
In her 28 years with BHP, Geraldine’s progressively taken on more complex engineering, operational and leadership roles in multiple assets and jurisdictions – while also establishing a reputation for building empowered, safety focussed and performance-oriented teams.

Geraldine began her career in project engineering roles in Europe and Australia, within the refining and pharmaceutical sectors.
